Jean-Pierre Lafrance

Born in Montreal in 1943, Jean-Pierre Lafrance began his studies in drawing and painting at the Montreal School of Fine Arts at the age of sixteen. He went on to pursue his studies at Studio Salette in Montreal, then worked in the studio of Canadian sculptor and muralist Jordi Bonet, as well as l’Atelier de l’île in Val-David, Quebec, where he mastered lithographic and serigraphic techniques.

Over the years, Lafrance has participated in many group and solo exhibitions, in Canada as well as abroad – notably in the United States, France and Mexico. A number of newspaper and magazine articles, as well as radio and television broadcasts, have been dedicated to this international multidisciplinary artist.

His works can be found in many public and private collections throughout the world.
