Marie Aloir

Marie Aloir teaches 10 years and then dedicates herself to painting in 1983. She receives a grant from the Arts Concil of Canada and works to monumental paintings that she calls " shape-canvas ". These installations have been seen in artists run centers and Maisons de la culture.

Relinquishing the installations, she explores the mandalas (Circles of Life) for 15 years, they are accompanied by temples, philosopher stones and steles in an action painting manner.

In 2002, Marie Aloir introduces a floral series where realism flirts with textures and impastos. Her work has been seen and collected in Québec, France, and United-States.
